Facebook recently released their new “Reaction” buttons as a way to provide more nuanced response system than a simple “like”.
The Facebook Reactions offer a wider range of emotional responses for with 7 choices (6 new) Like, Love, Haha, Yay, Wow, Sad, Angry.
Facebook’s “emoji like” reaction design:
The reactions are only available for now for Facebook users in Ireland and Spain, but Facebook recently announced that they will be releasing them worldwide.
Unfortunately for Publishers and Website owners Facebook reaction buttons are only available on Facebook. Publishers looking to add the reaction buttons to their site are sadly out of luck: Facebook reactions are not available as a developer tool to add to your site like the FB comments and “Like” button.
The good news is that there is a great substitute tool that acts much like the Facebook reactions for Publishers!
What is the tool?
Vicomi Feelbacks, like the Facebook buttons, offer a variety of emotions which your users simply click on to react to your content. (You can see a live example of this widget at the bottom of the page).
Have a post that makes your users excited? At the bottom of the article your users can then select the “excited” icon from the 5 options and easily tell you what they are feeling. Like the Facebook Reaction Buttons, Feelbacks provides more options for your users than a simple “like”, while still remaining simple and fun to use.
To add it to your site, you can get your free html code by registering on their website, here.
You can then choose from a variety of languages and design options.
